  • Frustrated

    I purchased a stand up, ice free freezer online from Home Depot. Somewhere upon delivery the freezer was damaged in a place where you had to stand on your head to see it. The freezer ran great then we started noticing ice build up. I called Home Depot and was told 30 day warranty was up! I assured them ice was not building up as soon as they plugged it in. They sent a repairman out and he agreed the freezer was damaged upon delivery so Home Depot offered to "fix it".   • Home Depot rejects negative reviews.

    I recently submitted a review for a Motorola MBP33 baby monitor to Home Depot. They rejected the review, even though it didn't violate a single thing on their list of items that they say can cause rejection. The review essentially talked about my experience with th customer support provided by motorola and how terrible it was.   • Home depot door installation

    I am extremely disappointed with the installation of my home depot storm door and would highly recommend using another vendor if you want quality work done. I bought a high end storm door to replace my old patio screen door. When I purchased the door, I was told there would be an additional charge to build a new frame, as the existing frame was a non standard size. In total the cost of the door and installation was almost $1,000. The "frame" turned out to be a thin piece of molding that was shoddily tacked in to fill a space above the door.     I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot on 12-11-1013. The delivery date of 12-23-2013 was set up. on 12-22-13, i received a call confirming the delivery date and set the time from 3-7p.m. i took off work early to be there by 3 to insure i wouldn't miss my delivery.     In July, 2013 I accidentally paid my credit bill twice. I noticed this and on August 7th I contacted the credit department. I was told I would receive my over-payment in 17 days. In 17 days no payment received. I contacted the credit department on Sept 10, was told I would receive my payment on Sept. 30. No payment received. I contacted the department on Oct 2, was told the payment would be deposited directly into my account on Oct 23.   • No refund on Deposit

    Last year we were planning on changing our carpets and went to Home Depot. They asked us to put a $50 deposit (and told us that can be returned if we decide not to go with the Home Depot quote). Well they came did the measurements and in the end we did not change the carpets. We then went to ask for the refund and they said NO! We told them that we just had a major renovation (remodeling project) with them and that the least they could do was honor what was told to us that the deposit can be returned.     I recently in quired about carpet at home depot. I got a bid and decided to go through with it .     I recently visit store 6838 and purchased a washing machine. The delivery date was almost 2 weeks out, although the associate said there was a unit about 250 miles North.   • Home Depot Won't Honor Warranty

    My family made the mistake of hiring Home Depot to refinish our kitchen cabinets. The cabinets were destroyed. They are sanded out of shape, they are rough to the touch, there is a nail sticking out of the wall, stain is all over the walls, appliances were scratched and damaged and a whole list of other damage.     In 2010, I attempted to get my mortgage modified through Bank of America and NACA. Although, it was denied, Bank of America placed my mortgage as 60 days in arrears in the credit bureaus.     I have already sent a lengthy explanation of the issue concerning our window salesperson and installation. I am extremely disappointed this evening.     I'd like to let all the customers know as a long time employee of Home Depot I have never seen so much lack of respect, harassment and actual disdain for Home Depots employees. Since early fall of 2011 Home Depot has cut back or laid of most of it's part time employees, cut back on their on hand stock, lowered their quality of product and have been pretty much trying to drive the quality employees to quit (of course these are employees that are making decent wages, Hmmmm?)     I recently ordered some Pergo flooring from the Santee, CA Home Depot (Nov 30, 2011). They were offering a special deal on installation of special order flooring, so I had them come out to measure the area and give me a quote. First off, the $397 installation deal seems great until they start nickel and diming you to death with all the little add-ons.     I was recently in Home Depot in Winter Haven, FL to buy paint for my bathroom. Erick in the paint department was extremely knowledgable and helpful with my purchase.     Recently My wife and I made a purchase of an LG appliance package from HD. Made the purchase one week before Thanksgiving with a delivery date of Dec. 2, 2011. On Nov.30th recieved a phone call letting us know the appliances ordered are on back order and a new delivery date of Dec. 10th was given. On Dec. 7th got the same phone call letting us know of the new delivery date of Dec. 21st. Really! What kind of service is this? Be careful of buying anything that has to be delivered!   • won't honor warranty

    This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. I purchased cabinets from Home Depot. Mills Pride which hads a lifetime warranty. Home Depot allowed the contract with MilsPride to expire about 2009. Home Depot made no arrangements or agreement to honor the Lifetime warranty for all their customers. I have problems with delamination on my cabinets; all Home Depot ( Eric Emerson ) can say is sorry your out of luck;the manufacture has gone out of business.     Went today 8/22/2011 To Home Depot in Butler PA to get 1/2" Hardybacker Board, 30 pieces. Weight about 320 lbs approx. a hole pallet. they didnt wont to use a fork lift to load it up on a Commercial trailer I brought. they said I had to pay for it first and then would only take it to the register.     We are never amazed at the depth of knowledge that Mark K. in the appliance Dept seems to have about so many things. At the Round Rock Lowes you are lucky if the nice sales people know where the barhrooms are.     Took 3 months after fully charging my credit care $11,000.00 to install my sileston incorrectly. Home Depot's expediter did not return calls she said she would.     Home Depot can not deliver. In hawthorn NY, Ordered set of bifold doors on 6/4 was told would take 7-10 days. Called 10 days later was told product would arrive week of 6/27. Canceled July Fourth plans and prepped for arrival of doors. Called 6/28 was told product had shipped would arrive 7/1. Called 6/30 for tracking number and was told door where never manufactured I was given an estimated manufacture date of 7/15.     I had problems with a special order of American Marazzi bathroom tile. The shipment was late and part of the tiles were improperly packed and were broken. But Heather Mayer at the Seaside Hope Depot got it all straightened out for me -- while she was fielding phone calls, helping other customers and tracking down my order.     Store in Festus, MO: Today I went to Home Depot with a list of items I needed. One of the employees (I believe his name was Matt or Pat) asked me if I needed help and walked me through the store finding everything on my list.   • Order Cabinets Elsewhere

    I special ordered a Kraftmaid cabinet desk suite from the Home Depot in Bridgeport, CT. I selected a raised panel style for the front of the cabinets. The order was processed and placed by Home Depot and fulfilled by Kraftmaid. When the cabinets arrived I was alarmed to see that the two cabinets had the appropriate raised panel front, but the SEVEN drawers had plain slab fronts. I purchased an LG $3000.00 fridge 4 years ago they have been replacing the compressor 4 times, replaced the freezer motor, defrost after the 4th compressor they informed me that the unit is not repairable, called LG they said I had to contact Home Depot warranty service which I have 1 more year left on my extended warranty, they said they could do nothing about it I said well I think you should replace the fridge if it cannot be fixed being I have one more year left on my warranty, they said I did not have replacement coverage, I said that that did not matter fix it or replace it if it is deemed as not repairable, they flat out refused so I called LG and explained to them the hard time I was getting from Home Depot, so they called and put me on conference with them and LG said they had no choice but to honor the warranty , again they refused so LG went and did a buy back for me they cut me a check for $1241.00 that's a $1800.00 difference from what I paid but something is better then nothing it covered the cost of my new Samsung fridge from Jetsons appliances. NEVER will I purchase an appliance or any type of tools from the Home Depot DO NOT buy their extended warranty they will not honor it if the repairs get to a certain amount , I spent days on the phone and only got grief from The Home Depot
