I was really excited about replacing my entry door and back door, I knew exactly which entry door I wanted. I made an appointment on line for July 7,2017 at 3pm.
When I arrived there was two employees setting at desk,one was working with an older couple the other was who I had appointment with. She seemed very friendly and seem to know the product. I had some questions and I had not decided on a back-door yet. I had a Stevens book that I circled which door I wanted. RUSTIC KNOTTY ALDER with Speak easy."I do not know the colour in picture but this is what I want" I told her and I would like the back door colour to match.She said colour was Autumn Wheat. She searched on computer until I found one that I liked that was in that colour. During this time the phone was ringing off the wall,she kept answering it.she even made a call and a girl non employee was waiting for her to take a break.
When she was placing my order on the back door it would not let her put the colour I wanted so she called Stevens they said door should be available so then she called her manager and they walked her through over the phone how to bring it up but it still would not. I was lead to believe front door was what I wanted and back door was not.
I apologized for taking so long and being so adamant about which doors, she replied "If your going to spend that much money on a door then you need to get what you want.
I felt as though I was not her main priority although she did act in a professional way.
I did not order the doors that night, On 07/12/2017 I placed order for only the front entry,and asked if could buy a quart of paint to paint a back door she was to find out and let me know. I still do not know. 08/08/2017.I called and talk to gentlemen said he would give her message to call me. I never received her call. On 08/09 I called about status on door she was not in,I talked to Brandy. Brandy said the vendor was closed and that she would have Kaitlin call me by Friday. I did not get a call.
When door came in I was not able to pick it up the gentlemen said that would be fine and he make a note.
On Thursday 08/31 my neighbour picked door up. I was excited to see my beautiful door to be disappointed that was NOT my door, that was NOT the door that I circled in catalogue Immediately .I called store talked to Brandy. She was to get with Kaitlin next morning I was to take door back. When at store I asked Brandy to have Kaitlin call me.Like before she did not. Brandy called about 11 AM she said that door could not be ordered in KNOTTY ALDER and that I was informed because it was in the notes. I said that I was not informed I thought it was the back door,she kept talking repeating that it is in the notes. She would not let me talk. Then she said something about a discount I tried asking how much and she started repeating herself again saying yes I did know because it is in the notes. Finally I raised my voice over hers and told her to shut up and listen to what I asked. Asked about discount, she put me on hold for about 5 minutes. Awful music blaring loud with broken speakers sound. She said 20% to restock or 10% off door.
I was not told that door could not be ordered in size. I WAS ADAMANT THAT IS THE DOOR I WANTED.If had to go with bigger door to get that door I would.
I'm glad I only ordered one door and not both.
I feel that I had appointment set in advance so the pro would have time to speak with me,not needing to take break,answer and make calls,that did not pertain to me.I feel that the correct door needs to be ordered. and Brandy owes me an apology. .
