very TERRIBLE experience/breach of contract - Slide in stainless steel range


My husband and I are active military stationed in Florida, and we ordered a range over the phone from a store located in MS for my miter in law for Christmas. A letter to corporate: Sir,

My apologies for missing your phone call. It has been a pretty busy week at work. I appreciate you getting in touch with me. I'm sure you have some idea what the situation is. I guess, to be brief, we were quoted a specific price on a stainless steel slide in range, and asked the representative multiple times if he was sure it was a slide in, and not a free range. After the transaction was complete, we found that they were not selling us what we wanted. After calling and speaking with a manager, the only thing we were told was that in order to get what they had already sold is for 600.00 was to pay an additional 500-600. This is a GROSS breach of contract, and bad consumer practices. We had a verbal agreement with the Home Depot to pay 600.00 for a slide in stainless steal stove. We paid for the product, but the store has refused to deliver on said product. This is specifically negligent misinterpretation, in addition to unfair and unlawful consumer practices. My husband and myself main concern is that we get what we ordered on December 10th. The store has only offered a refund of 100.00, which has not been delivered either. I don't care about a refund. I want what we purchased. There have been multiple lawsuits filed for extremely similar situations I quoting on price, and then after the fact trying to increase it. I do not want to go to court for this, but would instead just like our range delivered on time and the product we were told we were purchasing. I am available until 2:00 pm tomorrow, and would appreciate a phone call with a resolution. Until then, I will be sharing my Home Depot experience with the social media.
