Sears broken washing machine - GE Dishwasher
Nearly 2 months later I am still waiting for my dishwasher! I ordered this appliance online back in November, week of Thanksgiving. A month later, December 27th, I received a call from the delivery service that the appliance was going to be delivered the next day (December 28th). On December 28th, the delivery company called to inform me that they had misplaced (lost) my order and that they would follow up a day later. One and a half week later, I called Home Depot to inquire about the status of the order. To my complete dismay, Home Depot could not even get a hold of someone at the delivery company. This went on for days. Meanwhile Home Depot kept playing gave with me. They send me to the internet department who sent me to a local store who referred me to the delivery company. Finally, I got a hold of someone from the Resolution department. At first I thought we were getting somewhere when he apologized for Home Depot's terrible customer service and acknowledged that I should have been contacted before. But after he assured me that he had escalated the matter to his superior and that he was personally going to resolve the issue, and made promises that he was going to expedite a new shipment...he too failed. Another day went by, still no answer. Now it's almost two months, I still don't have my appliance. Home Depot customer service is wanting. It's terrible. The company apparently outsourced their delivery service. Their service is unreliable, and that is hurting their customers. This was the second time Home Depot messed up. The first time was a year ago when Estes was the 3rd party that handled order delivery. That order was sent to a different state. I got it weeks past the original delivery date. You should think twice if you are placing an order online. You probably should consider another option. I ended up requesting a refund and will purchase the item somewhere else.
