Home Depot Bait and Switch installation quote - Carpet and installation
Paid $35 for an estimate on carpet and installation. After being assured that the preliminary free estimate included all foreseeable charges, the final quote included a previously undisclosed $75.00 fee for "delivery" of the carpet by the installers. When questioned, the sales person said it was a new fee and refused to waive it. Drove a half mile down the road to an independent carpet store and purchased a better quality of carpet that, with installation, came to less than the Home Depot quote. Home Depot got me for $35.00, but lost a customer for life.
